Chances are, if you’ve arrived here for a holiday, you’re wondering about the supermarkets in Cleethorpes. Every year, tonnes of holidaymakers stay at Thorpe Park, The Humberston Fitties and the Holiday Inn Express, as well as the guest houses dotted around the seafront.
That whole area is the most popular to stay in, so it’s likely you’ll be searching for a supermarket in Cleethorpes that’s not far from your holiday lodgings. With that in mind, I’ll list the shops around this area first, before covering the wider, more residential areas. Below are some supermarkets near Thorpe Park Cleethorpes (listed first).

Supermarkets in Cleethorpes
The list below covers where to find supermarkets in Cleethorpes, including some smaller shops in Cleethorpes and Humberston (which is right near Thorpe Park and you need to drive through before you get to the big Tesco).

Big Tesco Cleethorpes
The big Tesco is about 5 minutes down the road in the car from Thorpe Park. It’s a good sized shop and sells everything from food to flip flops. There’s even a Pets at Home on the same retail park, which is perfect for if you’re holidaying with your dog.
Address for Sat Nav: Hewitts Circus Retail Park, Hewitts Ave, Humberston, Cleethorpes DN35 9QR
Spar on North Sea Lane Humberston
Probably the closest medium sized convenience store if you’re staying at Thorpe Park, the Spar is a decent size and you’ll definitely be able to grab ingredients for a meal and a couple of bevvies for you to enjoy on your first night away.
Address for Sat Nav: 82 – 84 N Sea Ln, Humberston, Grimsby DN36 4UY
Lifestyle Convenience Store North Sea Lane
This convenience store is quite small, but in walking distance from Thorpe Park. If you’re after some quick treats like lemonade and a Mars bar, then pop by here.
Address for Sat Nav: 208 N Sea Ln, Humberston, Grimsby DN36 4EP
McColl’s North Sea Lane
About half way between Thorpe Park and the Big Tesco is another convenience store. Worth a shot if you don’t want to go to a big super market, but couldn’t get what you wanted closer to where you’re staying.
Address for Sat Nav: 348-350 Grimsby Rd, Humberston, Grimsby DN36 4AA
St. Peter’s Avenue Cleethorpes
St. Peter’s Avenue is at the heart of Cleethorpes and boasts several grocery stores as well as butchers, bakers and gift shops. It’s not far from the train station if you wanted to visit this area before you check in. There’s a Sainsbury’s Local, a Co-Op and a Heron frozen food store to name a few. I’d probably park in the car park next to Boots for convenience (there are free parking slots for under 30 minutes but the spaces are competitive to get in and the locals are ruthless!)
Address for Sat Nav: 63-67 St Peter’s Ave, Cleethorpes DN35 8HF

Aldi Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby
The Cleethorpes Aldi isn’t technically in Cleethorpes, it’s on Cleethorpe Road near where Cleethorpes becomes Grimsby. If you’ve driven in from the A180, you’ll have driven past it, so it might be worth stopping there before you check in if you’re feeling especially desperate for an Aldi shop.
Address for Sat Nav: Cleethorpe Rd, Grimsby DN31 3BH
Lidl Ladysmith Road, Grimsby
Much like Aldi, Cleethorpes doesn’t have its own Lidl, but there’s one not too far away in Grimsby. Truthfully, it’s probably a bit out of your way to go to Lidl while you’re staying in Cleethorpes, but if you just can’t do without something that’s exclusive to them, then there is one nearby (ish).
Address for Sat Nav: Ladysmith Rd, Grimsby DN32 9SW
Grimsby also boasts a Morrisons, a Sainsbury’s and an Asda, but honestly, they’re probably too far away from the holiday accommodation to make it worth going. Certainly not convenient.
You might also be interested in Cleethorpes shopping. It’s a gorgeous little town, packed with indie businesses. If you’re after an idea for how to spend an afternoon, then have a peruse around Cleethorpes is an ideal way to spend it.
