What’s on for Families in Grimsby & Cleethorpes – Week 6 of the Summer Holidays 2023

The final week of the summer holidays is here. The kids are bound to want entertaining, so I’ve made this big list of what’s on for families in Grimsby and Cleethorpes this summer.

Monday 28th August

Country Fayre Normanby Hall

Normanby Hall – 10-4 – all welcome.

A day for all the family with entertainment, craft stalls and hot food.
Admission applies for non-members.

Dog Show & Family Fun Day

Grove Farm Liveries – 10-4 – all welcome

£3 per entry for the dog show classes and 10 amazing classes to chose from, there is something for everybody!
A equestrian show will also be running from 9.30am, come and see lots of beautiful horses in action!
Lots of fabulous local businesses attending, food & refreshments available along with ice-cream!

Tuesday 29th August

Creative Arts & Glow

Cleethorpes Leisure Centre –  10am – 3pm – ages 7-12 years

A creative arts camp that incorporates singing, dancing and glow. Each session ends with a glow disco!

Family Biscuit Decorating

Cleethorpes Leisure Centre – 10:30 am – 11:30 am – suitable for kids up to age 12

A fab family session with different themes each week. Take part in crafts and activities and have a cuppa while you join in (tea or coffee for adults and juice for the kids). Perfect for kids under 12 and adult supervision is need.

Messy Play Grimsby Scartho – Dinosaur Detectives

Scartho Community Centre – 1:30-2:30 – ages 6 months – 5 years

It’s time to get messy with a BRAND NEW theme – Dinosaur Detectives!

It’s my favourite place to take the kids to get messy. They have the time of their live, and all the cleaning up is done for you! What’s not to love?

“Stomp with the oldest party animals on the planet and discover a messy land before time. Join the dino trail where you’ll find a herd of messy activities including jellysaurus, spaghettiraptor and fossil hunting. A fully-supervised multi-sports sessions including dodgeball, football, badminton, table tennis, cricket, swimming and water slide (ages 8+), wRECk Room (ages 8+) and much more! Please note: Activities such as swimming are subject to availability and having appropriate staff supervision.
Day Pass (10am to 3pm)
£16 + booking fee Book
Bolt-ons

Little Lincs & Friends Play

Cleethorpes Leisure Centre – 9:30 am – 11:30 am – ages 0-13 years

The classic Little Lincs session for 0-5 years, with added activities for the older siblings (up to ages 13 years) and fun for all the family. Featuring soft play, messy play, sing time and crafts corner. Please note that the bouncy castle won’t be running at this session.

One to One Cycle Coaching

Bradley Football Development Centre – 9am – 4:45pm – ages 6-11 years

One hour slots for either a Learn to Ride session or Cycling Confidence session, where our qualified coaches will help children learn how to ride a bike.

Glow Disco & Skate

Grimsby Health and Wellbeing Centre – 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm – ages 5-12

Fun glow disco followed by a family skate session. – details below:

  • 1pm to 3:30pm – fully supervised Glow Disco.
  • 3:30pm to 5pm – fully supervised skate session.

Parents have a choice of coming to the family skate at 3:30pm to spectate or join in – chargeable as per normal rates: £3.60 per person, £1.10 skate hire. Or £1.10 to spectate only.

Junior / Family Badminton

Health & Wellbeing Centre, Cromwell Road, Grimsby – 5:30-7:30

A Junior / Family Badminton session for ages 6+ led by qualified coaches. Adults can pay and play as part of the family.

Aikido – Martial Arts

Cleethorpes Leisure Centre, Kingsway, Cleethorpes – 7:30-9:30

Aikido is a martial arts derived from Japan founded by O’Sensei Morihei Ueshiba around the 1920s. Since then, it has developed into various styles and forms. Aikido involves projections, pins and locks starting from various attacks, with or without weapons. Aikido provides a good base for self defence, posture and fitness.

All are welcome, aged 12 and above.

Saturday 2nd September

GBC Community Fun Day

Grimsby Baptist Church – 11-4 – all welcome.

There’ll be games, an inflatable obstacle course, a tea tent, puppets, and a barbecue. There’s gonna be so much to do, no matter how old you are!
It’s open to the whole community, so come on down with all your family and enjoy a great afternoon of fun together!
