How to Access the Food Bank Grimsby UK
To access the food bank Grimsby (and surrounding areas) you will need to be referred by a relevant authority. These referrals come from either your GP, Citizen’s Advice (in Grimsby this is Town Hall Street, near where the busses stop at the Riverhead).
If you’re already being supported by a welfare service, a children’s centre, social worker, health visitor or another local charity like Women’s Aid may be able to help. You can always ring the food bank directly if you’re struggling to find the right information.
The N E Lincs council has this information on food provision, but I’m not sure when it was last updated. It might be a good place to start if you feel like you’re not getting anywhere.
When you get referred to a food bank, you’ll be given a voucher and told where to go.
You can also register online for We Are One Foundation and you may not need a referral.

Doorstep caters for young people who are homeless or living in poverty. While the pandemic has changed their service and their website explains they can only help current service users, they may still be able to point you in the right direction in an emergency.

Immingham Civic Centre Hub is open as normal and service users need to be referred by a variety of local authorities.
Since 2019, CARE Lincs no longer offers access in Grimsby and Cleethorpes for the public to attend and receive emergency food parcels. Instead, service users need to be referred by relevant authorities and food parcels will be distributed throughout the week.
