Peaks Top Farm

Hewitt’s Avenue, New Waltham

Peaks Top Farm usually offer pumpkin picking every year throughout October half term. This year they open their gates from Monday 16th October and will be open from 10-4 daily.

The farm offers space for parking and only a short walk to the pumpkin picking fields. Prices vary depending on pumpkin size, but based on previous years, the big pumpkins should be expected to cost around £3.

Nunnys Farm

Wootten Road, Grimsby

Nunny’s Farm has previously held a pumpkin picking event where children can choose and decorate a pumpkin of their choice and 2023 will be no different. Their pumpkins will be ready to pick from the 14th – 31st October and priced according to size.

Hall Farm Park

Caistor Road, South Kelsey, Market Rasen

Hall Farm Park offers pumpkin picking every year. You can usually pre-book your admission tickets which includes access to the pumpkin patch, but the pumpkins you pick need to be paid for separately.

Here’s what their event page says:

“Come and visit us this October for lots of Halloween fun. Our pumpkin patch will be open from Saturday 14th October until Monday 30th October (park closed Wednesday 18th). Please note that there is an additional charge for pumpkins and that the patch will only be open at set times of day – more information to follow soon.
During your visit in the October half term ( Saturday 21st – Monday 30th October 2023 inclusive) be sure to look out for tricks and treats. Do you dare to visit the spooky shepherds hut to complete the challenge!
Enjoy all of our usual activities including indoor and outdoor play, woodland walk, goat walking and so much more.”

Thornton Abbey

Ulceby

Thornton Abbey pumpkin picking is a favourite for those who can get there by car. Pumpkin picking is open every day from 14th – 31st October. It’s free to enter and you just pay whatever you pick – prices start from £1 for baby pumpkins and £10 for gigantic pumpkins.

This pumpkin patch goes all out with a variety of colours, sizes, other kinds of squash and space to carve your pumpkin on-site. There’s also a play area if you want to make a day of it, which has an entry fee.

Rand Farm Park

Rand, Lincoln

Rand Farm Park have an annual pumpkin festival starting 7th October. The festival can be booked on their website.

Ling’s Farm

Croxby Top, Caistor

Ling’s farm pumpkin patch really gets in the spirit of Halloween and love to see their visitors in fancy dress. We took the kids last year and there was a rather lovely food truck there so fingers crossed it returns this year. No tickets or pre-booking required.

Book in for the pumpkin festival to pick a pumpkin from their patch and participate in their other Halloween themed activities. From 21st – 29th October 2023. Receive a free pumpkin with every paying child. Children under 2 don’t pay, but you can add a pumpkin on to your order and go and carve it in the carving barn. The fun doesn’t stop there, eat some spooky foods and let Windle Witch teach you to make some enchanting potions!

Uncle Henry’s

October  sees Uncle Henry’s pumpkin patch welcome families looking for some pumpkin picking fun. If you’re looking for a spooky time, why not try to solve their Halloween maze while you’re there!

Boston Farm Park

Misleadingly in Doncaster, not Boston (but still making it onto the list because it’s local enough), Boston Farm Park hosts a Halloween Shriek Week every year. From 14th – 31st October, 10am-4pm,

Enjoy our Halloween pumpkin hunt around the Maize Maze and carve a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch and make your own lantern.

All through October (from the 1st – 31st October) you can visit Doddington Hall to pick your own pumpkins. Opening hours 10-4. The patch is free entry, you just pay for what you pick, with prices starting from £3. Bargain!

👀 Golden Bottoms 👀
Keep an eye out for golden bottoms! To celebrate this year’s Christmas theme ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’, we’ll be hiding 12 golden bottomed pumpkins in the patch throughout October. If you find one you’ll win the pumpkin plus a family ticket to Christmas in the Hall and a 4ft homegrown Doddington Christmas tree so keep your eyes peeled! The first one was found last weekend so there’s 11 more to find.
📖 Spooky Storytelling
Kirsty from Rhubarb Theatre will be joining us on Sunday 15 and Saturday 28 October for an interactive story session based around the spooktacular family favourite, Room on a Broom, at regular slots from 10am-4pm. Sessions are free of charge and no booking is required.
Wellies are recommended and Halloween fancy dress is highly encouraged.
⏰ Patch open 1-31 October, daily 9.30am-4.30pm (while stocks last). Enter via the Gatehouse – Free entry, pay for what you pick. Prices start from £3 dependent on size. Cash and card payment accepted.

This pumpkin patch is another free to enter patch, you just pay for what you pick! These guys even have handy wheelbarrows on site for you to use. Wear your wellies and enjoy hot drinks and tasty donuts while you pick.
